Christopher Leddy is Partner in the firm. Mr. Leddy has experience handling and litigating complex employment law issues, as well as negotiating employment-related contracts. This experience spans the vast landscapes of the employer/employee relationship, including state and federal discrimination laws, whistleblower laws, family and medical leave laws, state and federal wage/hour laws, paid family leave insurance laws, paid time off laws, unemployment, and Department of Labor audits. He also applies the knowledge gained from his litigation experience to counseling employers and training supervisors in HR best practices.
Chris regularly assists clients with their commercial real estate needs. As part of the Firm’s Business Services Group, Chris has experience drafting all types of leases and purchase agreements (from small businesses to large corporations, warehousing to office space, industrial to commercial) and ensures his clients are well-informed throughout the process and able to make educated decisions when entering transactions. Chris also is experienced in all financing aspects of commercial real estate transactions representing his clients in construction and permanent financing placements. He knows that real estate investments are typically long-term and involve a considerable amount of capital, as such Chris strives to be a trusted partner with his clients to ensure they are protected against not only current risks, but potential risks in the future.
Finally, Mr. Leddy routinely provides expertise in the formation and structure of joint ventures with healthcare professionals and practices, hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, healthcare facilities, clinically integrated networks, physician practice management companies, management service organizations, physician sponsored organization, independent physician associations, and physician-hospital organizations. Further, Mr. Leddy provides general counsel services to these entities, including, not limited to, consulting agreements, personnel services agreements (professional and non-professional), employment agreements, and restrictive covenants.
Throughout his career, Mr. Leddy has counseled numerous businesses ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies. He consistently provides counsel with the goal of maintaining essential trust relationships and helps clients avoid protracted and costly legal disputes. His experience includes drafting, maintaining, and negotiating employee and contractor agreements; creating and implementing employee commission plans; ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws and regulations as it pertains to professional services delivered in all applicable states; and drafting, maintaining, and negotiating legal content in private and public contracts in the U.S., Canada, and E.U.
